This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage technologies (local storage, IndexedDB) the Baduz platform uses, for which purposes, and how you can manage your consent. Details on the related processing of personal data, legal bases, recipients and your rights are set out in our Privacy Policy.
1. Strictly necessary storage
Strictly necessary technologies are required to provide the Services you request and are used without consent under Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. Baduz uses them for authentication and session management (Firebase Authentication data in browser IndexedDB/local storage), temporary sign-in state during Google login, storage of your consent choices, and local data required to run the editor and Games.
2. Statistics (Google Analytics)
With your consent, Baduz uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how the website and public Games are used. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*, storage duration up to 24 months) and transmits usage data to Google. It is loaded only after you grant “statistics” consent; if you decline, no Google Analytics requests are made and no analytics cookies are set. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).
3. Marketing (Google Ads conversion measurement)
With your consent, Baduz measures whether visitors who arrived through one of our Google Ads or YouTube advertisements perform certain actions, such as starting a Game, opening the editor or creating an account. For this purpose, Google advertising click identifiers (such as the gclid URL parameter) and first-party cookies (_gcl_*, storage duration up to 90 days) are processed and shared with Google Ads. If you decline or withdraw “marketing” consent, no advertising identifiers are stored or shared and existing advertising cookies are deleted. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG).
4. Managing and withdrawing consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the Cookie Settings: . Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Declining or withdrawing consent does not restrict access to core functions.
